V40 whats new

2003 Volvo S40 and V40

• Horsepower increase to170 hp (10-bhp increase from 2002). Torque ratings remain the same for both models at 177 ft.-lbs. from 1,800 to 4,500 rpm.

• Body-color side moldings and bumpers for a more integrated and sportier appearance.

• Black "egg-crate" grille for a more aggressive appearance.

• Inside there is a new three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and four-dial instrument cluster.

• Single in-dash CD audio system is now standard.

Sport Package
For 2003 the Sport Package now includes a new front spoiler and blackout headlamp surrounds. The S40 receives a new rear deck spoiler and the V40 gets a new roof-mounted spoiler. "Galactica" 16-inch alloy wheels are now included in the Sport Package.

Premium Package
This year the Premium Package adds a leather-wrapped hand brake handle and leather-wrapped gearshift lever.

Climate Package
The Cold Weather Package has been renamed the Climate Package for 2003. The contents of this package are unchanged from the 2002 Cold Weather Package.
