| Cross Country (New Model for 2001) Completely redesigned from its 2000 counterpart. Built on Volvo’s P2 platform (same as the S80 and S60), it is about 60% stiffer than previous wagons. This accounts for a much higher level of comfort, isolating from road noise, better handling and much more ‘solid iron block’ feel. The Cross Country accounts for roughly 50% of all Volvo wagon sales. The following features, both interior and exterior, enhance the distinctiveness of the Cross Country from the V70.
